Pasta factory in Azerbaijan seeks to cover export markets in Central Asia, Middle East

Pasta-producing Karmen factory in Azerbaijan seeks to expand its export coverage in the second half of 2020, Ilgar Ahmadov, marketing director of the factory told Trend.

According to him, since the beginning of this year, the factory has exported pasta to neighboring Georgia.

"The further supplies are expected in the coming month. As of now, the company is looking for new supply routes to foreign markets. The company is negotiating with partners in Central Asia and the Middle East,” he said. “In summer, sales of this type of product fall domestically, as they do abroad.”

To date, the factory’s production capacity amounts to 30,000 tons of products per year, which are 13 types of pasta. More than seven types of pasta are being exported," added Ahmadov.

The products of Karmen LLC have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The factory uses German, Turkish and Swedish equipment for the production.
