The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 71,436 transactions over the period from Jan. to Apr. 2020, which is 18.1 percent less than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Total number of buy/sell transactions implemented in Kazakhstan in Apr. 2020 amounted to 5,211, which is 75.9 percent less than in Mar. 2020 and 81.5 percent less than during the same month of 2019.
The largest number of transactions was observed in East Kazakhstan where this number amounted to 615 transactions, which is 64.4 percent less than in Mar. 2020 and 73.5 percent less than in Apr. 2019.
East Kazakhstan is followed by Karaganda region, with 586 transactions, which is 74.9 percent less than during Mar. 2020 and 79.1 percent less than in Apr. 2019.
Kostanay region and Almaty city share third place (455 transactions each in Apr. 2020), showing a 62.1-percent and 86-percent decrease respectively compared to Mar. 2020 respectively.
The least number of purchase and sale of housing transactions during Mar. 2020 was observed in Atyrau region (98 transactions, decrease by 64.4 percent compared to Mar.2020 and by 73.5 percent compared to Apr. 2019),
