One of the largest Azerbaijani production enterprises, Ganja Aluminum Plant, steadily increases primary aluminum output and plans further to increase the production volumes by the end of 2020, Director of the plant’s production department Ogtay Rafiyev told Trend.
According to him, in the first four months of this year, primary aluminum production volume amounted to 17,768 tons, of which 4,451 tons were produced in April.
"In 2019, this indicator amounted to 50,139 tons,” the director noted. “The enterprise plans to produce 53,274 tons of primary aluminum by the end of 2020. Currently, it's operating at full capacity, and all its workshops are used."
The plant produces primary and final aluminum products, as well as semi-finished products in the form of aluminum sheets.
Ganja Aluminum Plant has been operating in Azerbaijan for nearly 30 years.
