China's technology hub to support Kazakhstan's startups

Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub international technopark of IT startups and China’s Zhongguancun technology hub signed an agreement within the framework of which the latter will be supporting Kazakh startups, Trend reports with reference to Astana Hub.

The agreement was signed within the framework of the international cooperation between the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The signed agreement is expected to support the development of the ecosystem of Kazakhstan, which will allow Kazakh innovation projects to be promoted on the international scene.

Trainings aimed at popularizing the development of investment culture and solving urgent tasks for the region, as well as the global industry are planned within the framework of the agreement.

“The events will include the holding of the joint acceleration and incubation programs, as well as exchange programs for startups and experts in certain areas,” the report said.

Also, Zhongguancun proposed to open its representative office in Kazakhstan’s Astana Hub as part of its Overseas Station Program international development program. Representative office establishing will allow Zhongguancun to act as an additional engine to stimulate the development of its foreign customers, as well as to become an agency to promote the development of local high-tech ventures.

The Zhongguancun is already closely cooperating with countries such as Japan, Ukraine, Australia, Germany, Serbia, Nepal, Switzerland, France, Russia and Canada.
