А charter cargo flight of Uzbekistan Airways delivered a shipment of fresh cherries weighing 17.8 tons to Incheon Metropolitan City (South Korea), on May 23, 2020, Trend reports citing Dunyo News Agency.
The cargo, formed in Turakurgan district of Namangan region, was sent by Uzbek Gold Dried Fruits Export company to the South Korean partner NK GlobalNet Co., Ltd.
Uzbek cherries will be distributed on the territory of South Korea through wholesale and retail trade networks, the message said.
The first batch of Uzbek cherries was delivered to Korea on May 15 2020.
Earlier, the Korea Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency issued a permit in 2020 for six Uzbek companies to supply fresh cherries to the market of South Korea - Gold Dried Fruits Export (Tashkent city), JV Uz-Segang (Fergana region), Brand Investment Group Agro LLC (Andijan region), Pure Fruit Trade LLC (Namangan region), Namangan Agro Logistics LLC (Namangan region) and Samarkand Garden Plast LLC (Samarkand region).
