Kazakhstan's Shymkent to oversee implementation of various agro-industrial projects

A total of 8.6 billion tenge ($21.5 million) will be invested in agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan’s Shymkent city this year, Trend reports with reference to the city’s akimat (administrative center).

Furthermore, 18 more projects worth 18 million tenge ($45,055) are being implemented currently.

In particular, the projects such as intensive apple orchards on 15 hectares, an industrial greenhouse complex on 20.7 hectares, a dairy farm, expansion of production and processing of poultry and eggs, production and processing of goat milk, processing of fruit and vegetable products, expansion of cheese production, modernization of flour production, cattle fattening, meat production and the breeding complex of cattle for meat and dairy will be implemented in the region.

As a result, 300 tons of apples, 5,100 tons of vegetables, 1.5 million liters of milk, 40 million eggs, 2,200 tons of poultry meat, 20 million canned foods, 500 tons of cheese, 1,250 tons of meat will be annually produced in the city.

The report also said that the expansion of the Kolesnikov A.V and Arman-AGRO greenhouses, poultry farms of Tassai Kus LLP and Shymkent Kus LLP worth 150 million tenge ($375,364) has been completed by now. The remaining 14 investment projects are under construction.
