Iran and France have been in talks over the possible boost in agriculture trade and food items, Managing Director of European office in Iran's Trade Promotion Organization Hassan Olfat told Trend.
"The discussions on the matter are ongoing," he said. "The two sides have expert groups talking over the standards of food items to be potentially exported to European countries."
Despite sanctions on Iran, the cooperation between the two countries is ongoing in many areas.
"Iran's auto industry has been active in modifying and producing French Peugeot, Renault in the past three decades," Olfat said.
He also hinted at Iran-France cooperation in medical sphere, without disclosing details.
"The joint Iran-France working group is to encourage foreign investments via trading data and launching training workshops," he said.
"Among other possible cooperation areas are tourism sector and handmade carpets export from Iran," he Olfat said.
