Representatives of the Hazorasp district administration of Uzbekistan's Khorezm region and the Agency for Foreign Investment Attraction held online negotiations with the management of the Spanish National Association of Manufacturers of Capital Goods (SERCOBE), Trend reports citing Dunyo News Agency.
During the talks, the sides discussed the possibility of creation of an agricultural cluster based on Spanish technologies on a 100-hectare territory in Hazorasp district in Khorezm region.
The head of SERCOBE's department for cooperation with Eastern Europe and CIS countries, Hector Rodriguez, said that the project is very relevant today from the viewpoint of implementing modern technologies.
“Spain ranks second among EU countries and sixth among all countries in the world in terms of production of fruit and vegetable products. Given the similarity of climatic conditions in Uzbekistan and Spain, studying the experience and technologies of this country is very useful, and their introduction will allow achieving high results in agro-industrial clusters focused on foreign markets,” the message said.
SERCOBE Association unites more than 400 enterprises and industrial groups, is a member of various advisory bodies, as well as national and European business organizations.
National Association of Manufacturers of Capital Goods is the one of official partners of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.
