Kazakhstan's ERG to hold equipment overhaul at its Shymkent-based subsidiary

Kazakhstan-based Eurasian Resources Group will allocate 825.5 million tenge ($2.07 million) to hold equipment overhaul at its subsidiary operating in country’s Shymkent city - 3-Energoortalyk JSC, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Resources Group (ERG).

The overhaul will be held this year, the report said. In turn, the value of funds to be allocated for maintenance is 250 million tenge ($627,210).

“The necessary procurement procedures have already been carried out, and contractors have been identified. Most of the contracts for repair work and the supply of necessary materials have been signed. There are no delays due to COVID-19 restrictive quarantine measures,” the report said.

The report said that the contractors are carrying out major repairs of boiler unit No. 1, tanks of demineralized and partially demineralized water in the chemical workshop, as well as sanitary facilities.

Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) is a leading diversified natural resources group with integrated mining, processing, energy, logistics, and marketing operations.

The Group operates in 15 countries and is a major employer in the industry.

In 2019, Eurasian Resources Group celebrates its five-year anniversary and the Group also marks 25 years of its business in Kazakhstan.
