The licenses were issued for the establishment of 531 enterprises in Yazd Province (central Iran) during 2 months of current Iranian year (March 20-May 20, 2020), said Mohammad Reza Alamdar Yazdi, Chairman of the Industry, Mines and Trade Organization of the Yazd province, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Alamdar Yazdi, more than 441 billion rials (about $10.5 million) is expected to be invested in licensed enterprises.
Alamdar Yazdi added that with the commissioning of these enterprises, 9,700 people will be provided with jobs.
The chairman said that the number of issued licenses during two months increased by 51 percent in terms of number, 117 percent in terms of investment value and 31 percent in terms of employment compared to the same period last Iranian year.
The official did not specify in which areas the licenses are.
As many as 266 industrial enterprises were licensed in the Yazd Province of Iran in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020). About 15 trillion rials (about $357 million) have been invested in the commissioning of enterprises and 3,400 people have been employed.
