By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Asian Development Bank's (ADB's) $100 million loan to Georgia will help fund the government's comprehensive anti-crisis plan that will help the country recover from COVID-19, Trend reports via the ADB.
ADB's assistance to Georgia will help strengthen its healthcare system and support the government's social protection measures.
"ADB's assistance to Georgia will help fund the government's support for small and medium businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," the ADB said.
Previously, the ADB has approved a $100 million loan to help the Government of Georgia contain the spread of the coronavirus, mitigate the impact on businesses, and protect the livelihoods of the most vulnerable, including women and children.
The ADB's COVID-19 Active Response and Expenditure Support (CARES) Program will provide budget support to Georgian government and help fund its comprehensive anti-crisis plan.
