Industrial plants put into operation in Iran’s Khuzestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 13

The iron ore concentrate plant and ferrosilicon manganese plant were put into operation in the Andimeshk industrial park of Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran, Trend reports citing official website of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province.

According to the report, a total of 3 trillion rials (about $71.4 million) was spent on the commissioning of the two plants.

“As many as 450 people have been employed with the commissioning of these plants,” report noted.

The organization did not disclose the volume of annual production of these plants.

In addition, the construction of a new phase of the ferroalloy plant has begun in the Andimeshk industrial park at a cost of 13 million euros and 700 billion rials (about $16.6 million), said the report.

As many as 150 people will be employed with the commissioning of this plant.

Officials from Iran's Khuzestan Province attended the ceremony of commission the two plants and of launching construction of the third one.
