Iran produced 30,900 tons red meat in the second month of the current Iranian year (April 20-May 20, 2020), Trend reports citing the Statistical Center of Iran.
According to the report, 17,200 tons of beef and veal were produced, which formed 55.7 percent of all red meat produced in Iran.
“About 11,000 tons of mutton (35.7 percent) and 2,100 tons of goat meat (6.8 percent) were produced," report said.
According to the report, the production of other meat was 552 tons and formed 1.8 percent of all red meat produced in Iran.
“Red meat production in Iran increased by about 41 percent in the second month compared to the first month of the current Iranian year (March 20-April 19, 2020),” report added.
