The National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan (NCEOA) currently is a participant of a number of international and regional projects, Spokesperson for the confederation Ilhama Abdullayeva told Trend.
According to the spokesperson, one of the most successful projects implemented by NCEOA is the development of services and training activities on the topics such as Effective Management for Business Associations, Start Your Own Business, Business Planning, Developing Flexible Skills for Teachers and Trainers, Entrepreneurship, and Mediation.
"During the quarantine period due to COVID-19, the confederation has organized many online conferences and webinars on the most relevant topics for entrepreneurs,” she said.
As Abdullayeva noted, the strategy for the development of educational services is based on the results of a survey conducted in 2019 among 500 Azerbaijani companies, in which more than 70 percent of respondents indicated a lack of awareness and the need for staff development.
"We regularly hold multilateral meetings with our foreign partners and representatives of the confederation, discuss investment and trade opportunities for entrepreneurs in our country, as well as for Azerbaijani entrepreneurs abroad," she stressed.
The spokesperson added that sectoral commissions and regional representatives of the confederation actively participated in monitoring and evaluating the business climate in the country from the very first days of the pandemic, as well as in negotiations with state authorities and business representatives on developing measures to support entrepreneurship, maintaining jobs and ensuring employment of the population.
The confederation is closely cooperating with Turkey, many regions of Russia, the EU countries and Asia in various sectors of the economy.
The National Confederation of Organizations of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) of Azerbaijan was established in Baku on March 5, 1999. It unites over 1,000 business entities, including 35 associations and socio-economic unions.
