Ukrainian companies are interested in implementing business projects in Turkmenistan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Yevheniy Yenin said during a meeting with Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine Toyli Atayev in Kyiv, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Yenin also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the two countries in order to intensify political dialogue, as well as trade and economic relations.
The parties noted the significance of partnership of the countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs and discussed preparatory work for a business forum of Ukrainian and Turkmen entrepreneurs to be held in the near future.
According to the Ukrainian deputy foreign minister, rendering support in export of products and keeping trade balanced are the main goals for both sides during the economic downturn in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed readiness to facilitate contacts between business representatives of the two countries to bring Ukrainian-Turkmen trade relations to a new level.
The cooperation of countries in the framework of international organizations as well as in the field of education and culture was also considered, the report said.
In early April 2020, Turkmenistan and Ukraine agreed to hold regular consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries.
