Iran President Hassan Rouhani appreciated the economy sector for supplying the foreign currency needed to import the essential goods during the coronavirus spread.
“In April and May, the borders were closed and exports were cut off, so providing the foreign currency needed to import essential goods was not an easy task," Rouhani said Trend reports citing IRNA.
Rouhani went on to emphasize the government’s effort to support people amid coronavirus outbreak.
The head of state added that the government paid the salaries of the employees in time and it also paid the subsidies and livelihood support packages to 3 million low-income households.
