United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) of Uzbekistan announced a competition to select business projects for financing and launching them in pilot districts of Tashkent region and Namangan region, Trend reports citing UNDP.
"The contest is held within the framework of second phase of the project entitled 'Involvement of stakeholders in solving problems related to uranium heritage in Central Asia'. The competition is aimed at developing business potential of target communities and providing jobs in the target areas of the project,” the message said.
Companies that have existed for at least two years both in the target areas of the project and beyond are eligible to participate. The main condition is implementation of the business project in the abovementioned region and with involvement of region residents.
The allocated amount for co-financing will be up to $10,000.
The funds allocated under the grant shall be used to purchase equipment including office equipment, construction and other materials. The grant support is not provided either in the form of cash or to increase working capital.
Applications are accepted and processed until 6:00 pm (GMT +5) July 20, 2020, inclusive; potential bidders shall submit information according to the form.
