By Fidan Babayeva – Trend:

The Azerbaijan Project Management Association (AzPMA) is enhancing cooperation with BP company and Azerbaijan's ASAN Service initiated in late 2019, AzPMA Executive Director Fatima Akhundova told Trend on June 24.

“The first project management forum was held jointly with BP and ASAN Service in December 2019," the executive director added.

"Only 25 specialists received a certificate in 2019, while at the beginning of this year their number has greatly increased,” Akhundova said. “To date, 28 specialists from Azerbaijan have been able to confirm their competence and obtain international status of project manager this year."

“During the crisis, many managers and companies began to invest in raising the level of skills and obtaining an international IPMA/AzPMA certificate,” executive director added. “Of course, an international certificate enhances competitive advantages in the local and international labor markets.”

Akhundova stressed that 56 specialists from Azerbaijan are expected to receive international status of project manager by the end of the year.

AzPMA represents national International Project Management Association (IPMA) in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan Project Management Association is a non-governmental public organization. It holds an active position in the market of intellectual services in the field of modern project management technologies and company development. It was founded in 1999 in Baku and has implemented a number of successful projects during its 20-year history.
