Around 1,058 cargo movement runs were carried out from Turkey to Lebanon by Turkish trucks, having shown a 37 percent sharp decrease compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
Lebanon accounts for 0.23 percent of the total volume of cargo shipped to Turkey by trucks in the reporting period, the UND said.
The Association added that 164 cargo transportation runs were carried out from Turkey to Lebanon by Turkish trucks in May 2020, showing a 58 percent sharp decrease over the year.
In the first 5 months, foreign transport by Turkish trucks amounted to 459,738 runs, declining by 11 percent.
In May 2020, foreign transport by Turkish trucks amounted to 89,760 runs, which is 20 percent less compared to May 2019.
