The agricultural products worth $2.6 million were exported from the South Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) during the first three months of current Iranian year (March 20-May 20, 2020), Director of the Agriculture Department in South Khorasan Province Gholamreza Ghovsi told IRIB, Trend reports.
According to Ghovsi, the volume of exported agricultural products amounted to 8,340 tons.
Ghovsi added that the most exported products were 7,000 tons of tomatoes, 568 tons of chicken eggs and 400 tons of poultry feed.
The director said that the products were exported to Iraq and Afghanistan.
"Agricultural products such as saffron and barberry grown in South Khorasan province are not exported through the customs of this province," he said.
