A total of 2.99 million tons of products were loaded and unloaded at the Imam Khomeini port of Khuzestan Province (southwestern Iran) during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Trend reports citing Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran (PMO).
According to the report, within three months, 1.55 million tons of products were loaded and 1.44 million tons were unloaded at the port.
“During this period, 1.36 million tons of products were exported and 1.32 million tons of products were imported through this port,” the report said.
About 6,040 tons of products were loaded and 6,300 tons were unloaded for transit through the Imam Khomeini port during 3 months, according to the report.
During this period, 180,000 tons of products were loaded and 100,000 tons of products were unloaded at the port for cabotage.
“As many as 2,280 tons of products were loaded and 4.360 tons of products were unloaded at the port for transshipment during 3 months,” the report noted.
According to the report, 207 tons of products were loaded and 10,300 tons of products were unloaded at the Imam Khomeini port for other purposes.
In total, 5.45 million tons of products were loaded and 4.2 million tons were unloaded through Iranian ports.
