By Nargiz Sadikhova – Trend:

Geological exploration on eight areas will be held over the next four and five years in Kazakhstan, the representative of Kazakhstan’s Kazgeology National Company told Trend.

The company official said that within the framework of the state order, the areas for future exploration work are determined by the Object Plan, annually formed by the Committee of Geology of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources.

Thus, within the framework of investment projects implementation, Kazgeology JSC is doing solid mineral exploration projects in eight Kazakh regions (Kostanay, Pavlodar, Zhambyl, North Kazakhstan, Akmola, Turkestan, Aktobe, Kyzylorda regions).

“Based on existing exploration plans for subsoil use contracts, the exploration work in these areas will be held over the period of next 4-5 years,” the official said.

Talking possible exploration work outcome the representative said that it is very difficult to predict the results of work in advance.

“Even in areas of ore mineralization, exploration work will continue until reserves are calculated and put on state records. At any stage, work can become unsuccessful in terms of quality, economic and other indicators. Nevertheless, we seek to conduct exploration work efficiently and successfully in order to strengthen the country's raw material base,” the company said.

Kazgeology is Kazakhstan's National Exploration Company, implementing state initiatives on exploration of priority types of minerals.
