Turkmenistan can increase the volume of products supplied to Astrakhan region of Russia, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Opportunities for developing bilateral export-import potential were discussed during a videoconference with the leadership of Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the ministry.
The videoconference was also attended by officials of ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan and Astrakhan region.
The parties considered the possibility of expanding cooperation in the field of trade, while the Russian side expressed particular interest in the export of products from Turkmenistan. In this regard, the possibility of deliveries of textile goods, yarn and cotton products to the Astrakhan region was discussed.
Energy, industrial, and shipbuilding companies of Russia’s Astrakhan region are interested in building up partnership with Turkmenistan, said the report.
The ministry added that a meeting of the Turkmen-Astrakhan joint council on business issues was held at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan via a videoconference on April 29, 2020.
As reported, during the meeting, issues related to strengthening productive cooperation in the field of sea cargo transportation and logistics were discussed.
