State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan reveals data for 1H2020

On the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan 129 trading sessions were held and 13,188 contracts were concluded in 1H2020, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

This was stated during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, to assess the results of the work of various sectors for 6 months of 2020.

The growth of total trade turnover amounted to 24.6 percent in Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations, to 19.9 percent in Turkmenhaly State Association, the volume of services rendered increased by 50.3 percent and profit increased by 23 percent in Chamber of Commerce, and the volume of industrial production increased by 18.9 percent, agriculture and food – by 28.7 percent at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs - all in 1H2020 and compared to the same period last year.

As it was reported earlier, from January through May the volume of trade turnover increased by 23.6 percent compared to the same period last year. The volume of products manufactured by enterprises under the Minister of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan grew by 2.3 percent, while the products manufactured by Turkmenhaly State Association increased by 18.8 percent.

The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan registered 104 trading sessions, during which 11,201 contracts were concluded. The volume of production in sectors subordinated to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry increased by 54 percent compared to the same period of 2019.

Products that were manufactured by members under the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan increased by 13.1 percent from January through May, while agricultural and food production increased by 32 percent.
