Uzbekistan to sell full state share in Uzbek-Malaysian oil company

The state share of Uzbekistan in the Uzbek-Malaysian Uz Mal Oil enterprise was put up for online auction, Trend reports citing the State Assets Management Agency of Uzbekistan.

Founded in 1995, Uz Mal Oil is engaged in production and sale of crude oil. Half of the company is state-owned and the other half is owned by Malaysian PROBADI company.

Receivables of the company amount to 1.4 billion soum ($136,772) and accounts payable to 947.7 million soum ($92,584). The new owner will be considered the founder of the company with 50 percent share and will accept the asset with these debts.

Net profit of the company is 3.2 billion soum ($293,082), current assets make up 16 billion soum ($1.5 million) and book value of fixed assets is 19.9 billion soum ($1.9 million).

The starting price of the state share of the company is 23.7 billion soum ($2.3 million). Applications are accepted until August 10, 2020, and the auction itself will be held on August 12, 2020.
