A group of international economists delivered a presentation on the global pandemic and its aftermath on the economy to the Georgian government on July 14, Trend reports referring to government's administration.
Georgian Economy Minister Natia Turnava and Prime Minister's Advisor for Economics Beka Liluashvili participated in the video conference with the foreign economists attended by local experts and representatives from the analytical centers.
The economists said that the steps taken by the Georgian government to improve the business environment and increase investment attractiveness are correct and effective.
The participants stressed that global processes have created a new opportunity to mobilize foreign direct investment in Georgia, the use of which is of great importance.
"The group of international experts gave recommendations to the government of Georgia on fiscal economic policy, sectoral and monetary policy. We are holding meetings with local experts, representatives of analytical and research organizations to discuss the recommendations developed by international experts in each of these areas", said Liluashvili following the meeting.
