Malaysian innovative recycling company may establish plant in Uzbekistan

Representatives of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan and representatives of Uzeltekhsanoat Association (Uzbek Electrotechnical Industry) conducted online negotiations with the management of Malaysian MEP Enviro Technology Company, Trend reports with reference to Dunyo News Agency.

The representatives of the Malaysian company expressed interest in joint implementation of investment project regarding recycling of electrical appliances into raw materials, and their further use for production of high-tech products.

The agreements have been reached on establishing a dialogue between Uzeltekhsanoat and the Malaysian company and organization of the visit of its leadership to Uzbekistan.

MEP Enviro Technology Sdn. Bhd. deals with recycling of used electrical products and waste (e-waste management). The company's recycling plants are located in Malaysia (Penang and Sabah, Kuala Lumpur), Thailand, Singapore and China.

The Uzeltekhsanoat association was established by transforming Uzbek state Concern of the radio-electronic, electro-technical industry and instrument engineering.

The main task of the Uzeltekhsanoat association is to develop a strategy for the sustainable development of industry as a single complex for processing of raw materials, production and export of finished products with high added value, including through the expansion and support of industrial cooperation.
