As many as 11,759 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iran from January through June 2020, which is 48 percent less than in the same period in 2019, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s International Freight Forwarders Association (UND).
"Some 2.10 percent of the total volume of cargo transportation from Turkey by trucks accounted for Iran during the reporting period," the association said.
According to the UND, 4,676 Turkish trucks transported cargo from Turkey to Iran in June 2020, which is 39 percent more than in June 2019.
In total, 558,903 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad from January through June 2020, which is a decrease by eight percent compared to the same period in 2019.
In June 2020, 99,165 Turkish trucks transported cargo abroad, which is six percent more compared to June 2019.
