Purchases through Azerbaijani Azexport portal increase

The Azerbaijani Azexport portal implemented export orders worth $45.6 million in June 2020, which is 10.4 percent more compared to June 2019, Trend reports citing the ‘Export Review’ of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications, Trend reports on Thursday.

According to the report, Azexport implemented $319.5 million worth of export orders from January through June 2020.

Over 43 months of its activity, the Azexport portal executed the export orders for the supply on non-oil products from Azerbaijan in the amount of over $1.9 billion to 141 countries of the world.

In June 2020, TOP-10 exporting goods of the Azexport portal included tomatoes, hazelnuts, carrots, tobacco, eggs, flour, potatoes, beets, onions and garlic.

The Azexport portal (www.azexport.az) was created by an order of the head of state on creating a single database of goods produced in Azerbaijan dated September 21, 2016. The main goods exported during the current period are tobacco, chicken and eggs, hazelnuts, cottonseed oil, wine, pomegranate, onions, cosmetics, medical gauze, furniture, paint, confectionery, milk with fruit additives, mineral water and garlic.

The goal of the portal, which is managed by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, is to provide information on Azerbaijani-made products. It’s an effective resource for their selling in foreign and domestic markets.
