Iran's Maku Free Zone to connect national economy with neighboring countries
TEHRAN, Iran, Aug. 11
Director General of Maku Free Zone Organization said that it has huge potential and capabilities to turn into leading free zone at the national level and play the most important role in increasing relations with neighbors.
"With effective interaction and utilization of knowledge and modern technology, we can achieve great success to strengthen the national economy and its connection with the global market," Mohammadreza Abdolrahimi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Pointing to the active business operations in the Maku free zone, he said that logistics, transportation, agriculture, fisheries and mining sectors along with tourism industry offer attractive business opportunities.
In his words, the priority for the Maku Free Zone Organization is to complete semi-finished projects despite limited resources in the current economic condition.
"Despite the difficulties these days and the concerns caused by the coronavirus outbreak, construction projects are being carried out," he added.
