Largest share of re-export of cars from Georgia falls on Azerbaijan

In the first half of 2020, the re-export of passenger cars from Georgia in monetary terms amounted to $184.05 million, which is 35.1 percent less compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the first half of 2019, the re-export of passenger cars from Georgia in monetary terms amounted to $283.45 million.

According to Geostat, most of the cars from Georgia were delivered to Azerbaijan. In the first half of this year, 10,257 units of cars were supplied from Georgia to Azerbaijan for the amount of $114.12 million.

Ukraine took the second place in terms of the re-export of passenger cars from Georgia in monetary terms. In January-June 2020, 275 units of vehicles were exported to this country in the amount of $28.35 million.

The third place is occupied by the United Arab Emirates, where 147 units of cars were re-exported from Georgia for the first 6 months in the amount of $8.90 million.

The TOP three countries are followed by Russia - 1,143 cars ($6.26 million), Belgium - 89 cars ($4.70 million), Tajikistan - 460 cars ($3.28 million), Kyrgyzstan - 351 cars ($3.18 million), Turkey - 70 cars ($2.53 million), and Kazakhstan - 177 cars ($2.24 million).
