Iran's Alborz Province boosts products exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19

The exports of Iran's Alborz Province increased by 34 percent in terms of value during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - July 21, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, director general for Alborz Province Customs Office, Gholamhossein Nouhi told journalists, Trend reports citing Tasnim news agency.

Nouhi emphasized that the enterprises of Alborz Province exported products worth $211 million during this period.

Nouhi added that, Iran exported products worth $546 million in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

"Taking into account the export of products worth about $550 million in the last Iranian year, it is planned to export products worth $800 million from Alborz Province in the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 to March 21, 2021)," he said.

The director general noted that thus, the province's exports will increase by 30 percent in terms value.

“The exported products from the province were mainly food products, rubber and oil products, and were mainly exported to Arab and European countries,” he said.

According to the director general, the products worth $126 million were imported to Alborz Province. The imported products were mainly raw materials and equipment for production.
