Trend:

CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) announced that the copper exports in the first five months of the current Iranian year (started on March 20) doubled comparing to the same period last year.

Emphasizing the importance of sustainable development of the copper industry, Ardeshir Saad Mohammadi said that the company was recognized as the first-rank among industrial companies of the country in 2019, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"We have planned to allocate more than 2.480 billion euros plus $5.9 billion for the development of the copper industry,” he said.

"This will help NICICO to stand among the top five companies in the Middle East,” Saad Mohammadi added.

Production of the copper anode in Iran hit 121,202 tons during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-July 21), indicating a three-percent rise compared to the output in the same period of time in the past year, said the report.
