Kazakhstan expects annual oil output increase before 2025

Three possible scenarios for development of Kazakhstan’s economy from 2021 through 2025 were prepared by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of national Economy, Kazakhstan’s Minister of National Economy Ruslan Dalenov said, Trend reports with reference to the ministry.

The base scenario says that the country’s GDP growth will amount to 2.8 percent in 2021, whereas by 2025 it will reach 4.6 percent.

Nominal GDP will amounted to 76.7 trillion tenge ($183.4 billion) in 2021, with a further increase to 104.8 trillion tenge ($250.6 billion) in 2025. The oil output in 2021 is forecast to be 85 million tons with an increase to 100.7 million tons in 2025.

Furthermore, output growth is forecast in all base economy sectors.

The output in processing industry will grow at a faster pace (6.7 percent on average per year) than that of the mining industry (2.9 percent). The average annual growth rate in agriculture will be 6.2 percent, in trade - 5.5 percent.

Goods export is forecast to be $41.4 billion in 2021 with an increase to $51.5 billion in 2025, whereas import is forecast to be $36.3 billion in 2021 with an increase to $37.8 billion in 2025.
