BAKU, Azerbaijan August 29

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The volume of Iran's non-oil exports reached 21.9 million tons during first 3 months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through June 20, 2020) compared to the same period 7 years ago (March 21 through June 21, 2013) Trend reports citing Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

According to the report, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to about 19.6 million tons in the first three months of 2013.

The exports of mining materials in the Iran’s non-oil sector decreased in the first three months of the current Iranian year. Thus, the Iranian government is implementing a plan to reduce the export of mining materials in the form of raw materials, the report added.

According to the report, however, this figure was 3.8 million tons in Iran in the first year of the Islamic Revolution (1979). This figure increased to 93.9 million tons 7 years ago (from March 21, 2013 to March 21, 2014).

“The value of exports amounted to $500 million in the first year of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. This figure reached to $41.8 billion seven years ago,” the report noted.
