The investment worth 294 trillion rials (about $7 billion) has been invested into 3,534 enterprises in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) over the past 7 years (since March 21, 2013), Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Kermanshah Province, Mohsen Darabi, told IRNA, Trend reports.
According to Darabi, a projected 94,600 people will be employed.
The chairman added that during this period, the licenses were issued for commissioning of 661 industrial enterprises with an investment of about 92 trillion rials (about $2.19 billion) with projected employment of 11,600 people.
“It is also planned to complete and begin operations of 8 unfinished industrial enterprises with an investment of 23 trillion rials (about $547 million) by the end of current governments term (August 2021). About 820 people were projected to be employed in these enterprises,” he said.
Darabi emphasized that the activities of 283 enterprises have resumed with an investment of 7.56 trillion rials (about $180 million) in Iran's Kermanshah Province and with the employment of 4,500 people over the past seven years.
