Kazakhstan’s Tau-Ken Samruk National Mining Joint Stock Company intends to implement several geological exploration projects, a representative of the company told Trend on Sept. 8.
"The company intends to implement projects both jointly with partners (investors) and independently," the representative added. "Thus, in particular, the company received the licenses to conduct prospecting and appraisal work related to copper and associated components in Kunduz and Berchogur ore districts of the Aktobe region."
"The exploration program in this area has been designed for six years," the representative added. "An operator agreement has been signed with Fortescue (a subsidiary of the Australian Fortescue Metals Group Ltd) to conduct the search operations on a total area of 18,000 square kilometers."
This exploration work will be carried out in Karaganda, Almaty, Aktobe and Kyzylorda regions.
