Iran declares value of gross domestic product

The value of Iran's gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 2.8 percent during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20 - June 20, 2020) compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran.

According to the report, the value of the gross domestic product was 1.45 quadrillion rials (about $34.7 billion) in three months, according to the stable prices in 2011.

“While in the same period last Iranian year, this figure was 1.5 quadrillion rials (about $35.7 billion),” the report said.

According to the report, the value of Iran's gross domestic product, excluding crude oil, was 1.28 quadrillion rials (about $30.5 billion). This is a decrease of 0.6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“However, the value of the gross domestic product, excluding crude oil, was 1.29 quadrillion rials (about $30.7 billion) in the same period last Iranian year,” the report added.

The value of the gross domestic product was 6.13 quadrillion rials (about $146 billion), excluding crude oil - 5.36 quadrillion rials (about $127 billion) in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019, to March 20, 2020).
