Iran's industrial production increases

Statistics from Iran's Ministry of Indistry, Mine and Trade show that production of medicines, detergents, tires and petrochemical products, as well as home appliances in the country have increased since the start of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) till July 21, Trend reports via IRNA.

The statistics said the production of medicine for people has increased by 8.5 percent.

The production of tires has increased by 27.9 percent to 84,900 tons in the first four months of the current Iranian year.

The production of detergents at domestic factories increased by 10.2 percent during this period, to more than 216,100 tons.

The manufacturing of some other products has increased as well, including particle boards (281,000 square meters - 20.3 percent increase), fiber (433,700 tons - 14 percent increase), industrial oil (194,400 tons - 7.3 percent increase), carbon black (44,400 tons - increase of 5 percent) - all compared to the past Iranian year.

The production of petrochemical goods increased by 7 percent, to 20.1 million tons, while production of pesticides has dropped by 18.5 percent, to 11,500 tons.

As for the home appliances, the data said 501,100 refrigerators were manufactured from the start of the current Iranian year (started March 20,2020) till July 21, which is a 12.4 percent increase.

The production of TV sets has increased by 61.2 percent, to 341,500 units, and the washing machine production jumped up by 70.4 percent, reaching 290,400 units.
