Buy/sell operation at Iran Mercantile Exchange disclosed

More than 637,590 tons of goods worth more than 67 trillion rials (about $1.59 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (September 12-September 17), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

According to the report, however, more than 923,300 tons of goods worth more than 84 trillion rials (about $2 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (September 5-September 10).

“A total of 293,318 tons of goods worth 40.5 trillion rials (about $966 million) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME,” the report said.

More than 256,250 tons of steel, 6,400 tons of aluminum, 4,140 tons of copper, 12 tons of precious metal concentrate, 120 tons of molybdenum sulfur, 25,300 tons of zinc ingots, 1,500 tons of coke, and 5 kg of gold bars were sold in this section.

“At the same time, 337,269 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 26.4 trillion rials (about $629 million) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME in the last week,” the report added.

According to the report, 72,200 tons of vacuum bottom, 111,000 tons of bitumen, 68,700 tons of polymeric substances, 42,200 tons of chemicals, 44,000 tons of lube cut, 1,700 tons of moisture-resistant coatings, 2,300 tons of base oil, 150 tons of argon, 5,050 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.
