BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 21

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The volume of drilling operations at the Hired gold mine in the South Khorasan Province (northeastern Iran) tripled during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 20-August 21, 2020), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

During the reporting period, 3,000 meters of drilling work was carried out at the Hired gold mine. However, this figure was 962 meters in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the report, Abad Rahan Pars International Group, an investment company, extracted 7,500 tons of gold stone from the Hired gold mine within 5 months.

“A three-year plan to extract gold from the Hired gold mine is being implemented. In addition, a processing plant and a processing laboratory are being built and other work is carried out in this area,” the report said.

The Hired gold mine is located 150 km south of Birjand county of Iran’s South Khorasan Province and 8 km from Basiran village.
