EAEU countries increase export of dairy products to Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan increased imports of condensed and powdered milk and cream by 2.1 times from the European Economic Union (EAEU) countries from January through July, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 420 tons of condensed and powdered milk and cream from countries such as Belarus and Russia, totaling $891,946, which is also 2.7 times more than the number of Turkmenistan's imports of condensed and powdered milk and cream for the same period last year.

According to statistics, the share of Belarus in the total exports amounted to more than $725,152, and the share of Russia – more than $166,793.

Also, during this period, Turkmenistan imported more than 283 tons of cheese and yogurt, which is 3.3 percent more than imports from January through July of last year, for a total of $644,829, which is also 29.2 percent more than imports of cheese and yogurt from January through July of last year.

Thus, the exporting countries of cheese and yogurt in this period were Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia. At the same time, the share of Belarus in the amount of exports amounted to $280,500, Kazakhstan – $10,962, and Russia – $353,366.
