Turkmenistan increases imports of wheat flour from EAEU countries

The export of wheat flour from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to Turkmenistan increased by 90.6 percent from January through July of this year, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports, citing statistics from the Eurasian Economic Commission.

In general, 27,130 tons of wheat flour were exported to Turkmenistan from Kazakhstan and Russia for a total of more than $9 million from January through July, which is 2.3 times more than the number of wheat flour exports for the same period last year.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's share in the above – mentioned amount of wheat flour exports is $7.5 million, while Russia's share is $1.6 million.

According to statistics, the export of grain flour to Turkmenistan from Russia amounted to more than 125 tons, totaling $47,105.

Exports of processed cereals from Kazakhstan and Russia amounted to 5,146 tons, totaling $1.2 million.

Kazakhstan's share in total export of cereals amounted to over $1 million, Russia – $154,727.

As reported, in 1H2020, the export of wheat flour from the countries of the EAEU to Turkmenistan increased 2.2 times in comparison with 1H2019.
