Turkmen company for yarn production increases export volume

Turkmenistan’s Batly Ghadam company, which specializes in the production of socks and yarn, is increasing export volumes, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmenportal information portal.

The company exported more than 187,292 tons of cotton thread from January through September of this year, and 309,856 pairs of socks.

The company annually produces 7,000 tons of cotton yarn of various degrees of twist. So, in the structure of the factory there are four workshops ― spinning, dyeing, knitting, and Ironing and shaping, equipped with modern high-tech equipment.

Turkmenistan currently exports more than 70 percent of textile products to foreign markets.

One of the textile exporters in Turkmenistan is the Ashgabat Textile Complex, which provides the country's domestic markets with textile products, producing a variety of export-oriented goods.

The products of the textile complex are manufactured under ADT, Goza and Wada trademarks, said the specialist of textile complex Azatdurdy Berjanov.

Turkmenistan's textile products are exported to more than 30 countries, including developed countries such as the US, Great Britain, France, Germany and Switzerland.

Turkmenistan annually grows more than one million tons of cotton, which serves as a raw material base for the development of the textile industry.

A significant part of Turkmenistan's products exported abroad are home textiles, sports and denim clothing. The textile industry of Turkmenistan includes more than 70 textile and clothing enterprises.
