Azerbaijan's GDP decreases

Azerbaijan's GDP decreased by 3.9 percent compared to the same period last year and amounted to 52.074 billion manats ($30.6 billion) from January through September 2020, Trend reports citing data from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.

Reportedly, value-added in the oil and gas sector of the economy fell by 6.4 percent, and in the non-oil sector - by 2.4 percent.

In the structure of GDP, 34.7 percent fell on the industry, 11.4 percent - trade and repair of vehicles, 7.6 percent - transport and warehousing, 7.4 percent - agriculture, forestry and fishing, 6.3 percent - for construction, two percent - for information and communications, 1.3 - for the hotel business and catering, 19.1 percent fell on the share of other sectors, and net tax revenues from imports of products amounted to 10.2 percent of GDP.

GDP per capita amounted to 5,222.5 manats ($3,072.06).
