Bank of Georgia issues funds to support expansion of local vegetable farm

With the financial support of the Bank of Georgia in the amount of 240,000 lari ($74,744), a Pangea vegetable farm was expanded in the village of Ochkhamuri in the Kobuleti municipality of Adjara region, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Pangea has already grown 240 tons of tomatoes on 11 hectares of land.

The Pangea company that owns the farm, brings a unique organic product from the Tomsky tomato variety, which is sold on the local market, in stores or to individuals, and is also exported.

The loan was used to install a water tank and irrigation system, as well as land cultivation and a refrigerator.

Pangea currently employs 30 people. The company grows tomato varieties and exports grown products.
