Azerbaijan produced machinery and equipment, cars, trailers, and semi-trailers worth 232.7 million manat ($136.8 million) in the past 9 months of 2020, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, from January through September this year the production of machinery and equipment grew by 28.9 percent, and other vehicles – by 72.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.
In the reporting period, 1,382 cars were produced, which is by 306 units more than in the past eight months of 2020.
As of October 1 this year, the volume of stocks of ready cars in the country reached 183.
Moreover, in the past nine months, 220 tractors were produced. As many as 140 stocks of ready tractors were produced by October 1.
From January through, the volume of cargo transportation by all types of vehicles in Azerbaijan amounted to 140.6 million tons.
A significant share of the total volume of cargo transportation (59.1 percent) accounted for road transport, which made up 83 million tons (a decrease of 26.7 percent).
