Some 710 transactions were registered in Georgian Batumi in September 2020, that is 39 percent lower than the previous year, Trend reports referring to the report of Canada-based Colliers International real estate services organization.
As for the market size, the figure stands at $32 million, reflecting a 37 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2019.
The number of new apartment transactions is 30 percent lower than the same period in 2019, while the number of transactions registered on old flats has decreased by 25 percent and accounts for 780 units.
In the first three quarters of 2020, the market size of new apartments is 36 percent less than the same period in 2019 and accounts for $206 million, while the figure for old apartments is 23 percent lower ($34 million).
The weighted average selling price of new flats in the period of January through September 2020 is $774 per sq m, reflecting an 8 percent decrease, when compared to the same period in 2019.
