Romania's import of Azerbaijani products for 9M2020 revealed

The export of products from Azerbaijan to Romania in the first nine months of 2020 increased by $10.6 million compared to the same period of 2019, reaching $115.8 million, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the SCC, imports of Romanian products by Azerbaijan decreased from $46.4 million to $44.1 million on an annualized basis. The share of Romania in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.56 percent of the total import, while a year earlier 0.45 percent.

At the same time, exports from Azerbaijan to Romania for the first nine months of this year amounted to $71.6 million, while a year earlier this figure was $58.7 million. Thus, Romania’s share in the total export of Azerbaijan increased from 0.4 to 0.68 percent.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Romania remained positive over the reporting period, amounting to $27.5 million.

Azerbaijan's overall foreign trade turnover for 9M2020 amounted to $18.4 billion, having decreased by 27.1 percent year on year.

The balance of foreign trade turnover on an annualized basis decreased by 38.6 percent, but remained positive, amounting to $2.75 billion.
