Iran discloses details of exports via Iran's Gilan Province

A total of 537,000 tons of goods worth $327 million were exported through the customs of Gilan Province (northern Iran) during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 20-October 21, 2020), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the report, the exports increased by 35 percent in terms of volume and by 50 percent in terms of value within 7 months, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“The exported goods were mainly mining materials, food products, textile, rubber and other products,” the report said.

According to the report, the goods were mainly exported to Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Afghanistan and Iraq, through the customs of Gilan Province.

In addition, the imports through the customs of Gilan Province increased by 1 percent in terms of value and 47 percent in terms of volume over 7 months compared to the same period last Iranian year, the report noted.

During the reporting period, 1 million tons of goods worth $509 million were imported through the customs of Gilan Province.

According to the report, the imported goods were mainly essential products, meat products, cooking oil, compressed soybeans and so on.

“The goods were mainly imported from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Azerbaijan, the UAE, Ukraine, Turkey and Ecuador,” the report added.
